Center For Reversing Essure

A patient who had the Essure sterilization procedure decided she wanted the chance to become pregnant again. She had to decide between in-vitro fertilization and Essure reversal.

After a bit of serious research she decided the best place for Essure reversal was Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center.

Ella and her husband,Markus, then traveled from Weil am Rhein, Germany to North Carolina to have her Essure devices removed and her tubes reimplanted in her uterus.

Her Essure reversal procedure was out-patient and provided her with the chance to become naturally pregnant.

Essure reversal can be safely done as an outpatient procedure and the chance of pregnancy after Essure reversal is approximately 30%.

Replacing A Lost Child

You can never replace a lost child.
I wanted to share the story of a recent patient Kristen who came to me for tubal ligation reversal.

Kristen is from Raleigh, North Carolina and she experienced the unfortunate but tragic event of losing a young child at 5 months of age. Kristen considered undergoing in-vitro fertilization but decided to have tubal ligation reversal at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center. She shares her story on Dr. Monteith's blog, Tubal Reversal After Losing A Baby, for the benefit of other women who may be going through the same thing.

You Can Never Replace Nor Forget

You can never replace a lost child but having the burden of a tubal ligation removed from your shoulders and having the chance to create new life does provide many couples with the hope of adding to their family and, in some small measure, helping to ease the pain of having lost a child.

Having a tubal ligation reversal will never totally relieve the pain of losing a child but the surgery can provide a couple with hope as they look toward the future.
